The Orchard Way development enjoys an excellent location, with easy access to many leisure amenities. There are a few small shops within walking distance, including a newsagent, a pharmacist and a small post office.
Kingston Park Retail Park is approximately a mile away and offers many large retail outlets, including Boots, Matalan, TK Maxx and PC World. The retail park is also home to an 11,055 square metre Tesco store – the largest supermarket in the UK.

Sports fans are well served, with a number of large golf courses nearby, including Ponteland Golf Club. The Newcastle Falcons rugby union team play home games at nearby Kingston Park and Newcastle United’s St James’ Park stadium is in the centre of the city.
Lovers of the outdoors can enjoy excursions to the coast, around 12 miles away, or long walks and bike rides a little further afield in Northumberland’s expansive countryside.

Orchard Way’s excellent transport links make it the ideal location for those commuting to work daily. The A167 is minutes away and leads directly into Newcastle city centre. The A1 is also close by, providing easy access to the towns of Northumberland to the north and the country’s motorway network to the south.
Newcastle International Airport is approximately four miles away and operates flights from a number of airlines to destinations throughout the world.   
The development is well served by public transport, with a number of buses running  to and from Newcastle. Nearby Kingston Park also has a Metro station providing quick and regular services throughout Newcastle and the surrounding area.
